February has a long-standing reputation as the best time to visit Disney World for low crowds.
That advice is wrong.
I just released my February 2026 crowd forecast, and after analyzing years of wait time data, I found that February actually rivals December as one of the most crowded months of the year. A good week in February is in the moderate range now.
But here's the good news: 2026 is shaping up differently. There are some genuinely promising weeks and surprisingly uncrowded days (if you know where to look).
The perfect presidential storm: The third week of February is going to be crazy banana bonkers. Presidents' Day, Mardi Gras, UK spring half term, AND the Festival of the Arts finale are all colliding. This could be one of the busiest weeks of the entire year.
The sneaky good pick: The Princess Half Marathon moved to the last week of February this year, creating a buffer from Presidents' Day. I'm predicting lines will not be too bad. Races tend to bring crowds, but not raise wait times as much as you would think.
The best week: The first full week of February. After returning to moderate crowds last year, I expect this trend to continue, making it my top pick for the month.

One of the most helpful tools for planning your vacation is knowing which days to visit each park, and which days to avoid, just by looking at the trends of the days of the week.
For example, last February, Saturday was the most crowded day at Animal Kingdom. Wednesday was the least crowded day.
โ
What does that mean practically? Flight of Passage averaged 88 minutes on Saturdays but only 54 minutes on Wednesdays. That's a 34-minute savings on ONE ride just by picking a different day.
